GEA

The R9500 is GEA'S latest monobox edition, which was launched in 2021.Although it looks very similar to its predecessor it is claimed have have increased efficiency in terms electrical usage and attachment speed.

Gea also promotes it as having the smallest footprint on the market at just 5.3m2, giving a 40% saving on space compared to other milking robots. 

Routing

It is available in a right or left handed version to suit your farm layout and GEA offer free access as well as routed systems. Grazing systems are also available. 

Entry and Exit

Cow entry into the robot is from the side, with exit, either straight ahead or to the side ,branded  J  and K Flow. 

Identification:

Cow identification is via a collar, branded as Cow Scout which includes heat and health monitoring with the added option of cow location.

Arm Technology:

The arm operates to the side, using a combination of electric motors and compressed air with teat attachment achieved with camera technology. 

Teat Preparation and Attachment:

Unlike all of the other manufacturers teat preparation, milking and post dipping are all carried out in the same liner, branded In-Liner.

Backflush:

The milking cups are cleaned with a cold water between milkings with the option of adding peracetic acid.

Manual Attachment:

This is available on The R9500,if you want to persevere with some tricky cows or heifers.

Milk Quality Monitoring:

Milk analysis is available providing quarter conductivity, blood detection and cell count monitoring which all links to The  Dairynet software package.

The R9600 is the branded name for GEA's static batch milking system with no underpass. 

Otherwise,it appears to have exactly the same functionality as the R9500.    

The R9650 is the branded name for GEA's static batch milking system which includes an underpass. 

Otherwise It appears to have exactly the same functionality as the R9500.
